PPM pokračuje a jsem velmi ráda, že pro obnovený 14. ročník mohu spolu s Irenou Zemanovou představit kolekci quiltů V rámu = umění? Zamyslete se spolu s námi, zda zarámováním textilní volně visící práce se z ní automaticky stane „umělečtější“ textilní obraz. Dvojice podobných quiltů (materiálem i námětem) proto nabídneme jednou v rámu a jednou bez něj.

PPM goes on! I am very happy that my colleague Irena Zemanova and me can invite you to the postoponed premiere of our gallery In Frame = Art? Together with us give it some thought and decide, whether by framing a loose hanging textile piece you get automatically one, that is „more artistic“ just because it was framed. Therefore we offer two similar quilts (material and theme), one with and the aother without a frame.

Dvouletou průřezovou kolekci prací členek PGD jsem v roce 2020 měla možnost posoudit jako jedna z porotkyň (spolu s B. Schüller a H. Förster) a díky tomu se můj quilt Modrý měsíc stal i součástí této prestižní putovní kolekce. Pandemická situace znemožnila věžnou výstavní a muzejní prezentaci, přesto lze kolekci částečně shléhnout online. První čtvrtletí roku 2021 ji nabízí Městské muzeum v Einbecku. Every two years presents PGD the best works of its members, this edition being juried by B. Schüller, H. Förster, and myself. Thanks to this, I was able to include my quilt Blue Moon in the traveling collection of the selected quilts. Due to the pandemic situation, most museums and galleries can show the collection only online, which is the case of the City Museum in Einbeck for the first months of 2021. Pro návštěvníky jsou připraveny novinky z batikovaného Evolonu v rámech 95×95 cm, nové exponáty v galerii nazvané V rámu = umění? Spolu s I. Zemanovou necháme návštěvníky posoudit, zda rám automaticky povyšuje jinak běžně volně visící textilní dílo na umění. Další dva nové quilty jsou součástí galerie Kůrovec v rámci skupiny AQH a další dva jsou rozšiřují kolekci Art Quilt klubu na téma Evolon.

The visitors can admire new textile works made from powder batik dyed Evolon – framed in 95 x 95 cm size. These will be part of a presentation called In Frame = Art? The gallery shared with I. Zemanova will let the visitors answer the question of whether a frame brings a loosely hanging textile work (a quilt) to a piece of art just by framing it. Another two new quilts are part of Birk Beetle gallery, the latest collection of AQH group; two more will be presented at Evolon collection of the Art Quilt Club.
